On occassion, we get to restore woodwork that comes from lesser known manufacturers who obviously put their mark on automtotive history. Not only were these vehicles manufactured in very limited quantities, but many of them excelled in styling and performance.....and often, as a crowning touch, they included woodwork in their interiors !

Above is the set of Zimmer Golden Spirit woodwork that our customer sent to us for restoration. As you can see, the color changed drastically - to a yellow color and the wood grain pattern is almost impossible to see. |
Even though the finish was in bad condition, and the veneer was not worth leaving on - the substrate of all the parts was still in great condition, so we were able to successfully Reveneer and Refinish them for our customer. |

Above is the Instrument Panel from that set of Zimmer Golden Spirit woodwork. In this picture you can see where the steering column shroud came close to the woodwork, and hid the wood from direct sunlight. Although faded and changed from indirect light, the color of the wood in that area is closer to how it was when new. |

Here is the Shift Console from that Zimmer Golden Spirit. Like all of the other woodwork, it is in desperate need of restoration. Look closely and you can see why the original veneer needed to be replaced. |

The Passenger Panel from the same Zimmer Golden Spirit was the only panel where the woodgrain pattern was more visible. You can see more of the original color where the "Golden Spirit" emblem was taken off. |
